Chocolate Please

So as you have noticed, from all the snow and work you’ve been doing lately, it’s almost Christmas time—and for those who don’t celebrate Christmas, Holiday time. So what I have been doing lately is enjoying one of the main joys of Christmas... the FOOD. So now that I have my face acne-free, I have been eating, and eating and eating sweets. And you’re probably thinking there is nothing wrong with eating. But here is my thought; my resolution for 2010 is to become a health nut. And I guess until then... I will be enjoying the last of my Lindor chocolate and egg nog. So far I have had at least one chocolate every day this week. Plus I have basically drained a bottle of eggnog in two days. And on Wednesday which was a snow day I even at chocolate chip cookies, with Lindor chocolate melted on top. Mmmmm, that was so good—and of course, I had my milk on the side. So what I am trying to say is I am in love with chocolate. And I will be suffering the consequences soon enough.

This week was actually shortened, because there was a not-so-great weather day. But I really wished I went to school because I had to shovel. And there was soooo much snow. But I guess I had to burn of the 300 calories of chocolate. Oh and today there is a semi-formal. So I guess you’re wondering why I am not going. And there is definitely a reason. I am not blaming a person, it’s just that they made me realize something, which I would have figured out tonight—and would have been depressed for the rest of the night. So thank you to that person, because you spared me bad feelings. Oh I still haven’t explained myself. Well I don’t want to go, because at dances they always play the slow song, and I would be the only one alone, and without anyone to dance with. So here’s the thing. This would have been the most perfect opportunity to ask the new person I am totally crushing on to go with me. But I don’t think he feels the same way. And I guess that’s where it’s my fault, because I am unsure, and if I asked, then I would know. But since I didn’t I am going to be freaking out that he’s going with someone, and well... never mind.

So I received my January 2010 issue of ELLE Canada, so happy. It was small though. But some interesting things in it, like what is going to be in for the New Year?

Lots of sparkles, naturally. But none of that gross body glitter, no. I am talking about SEQUINS. I totally spelled that like sequence. I think it is sequins. Remember this is not just a New Year’s party thing, it’s a long-term deal.

So How to Wear It?

Jewellery needs to be your best friend. If you wear something simple, like a dress or turtle neck then put on a chunky shiny bracelet, it would look very nice, along with necklaces and earrings. But remember don’t overdo it. It seems that we like to go to school looking like we’re going to a party, so not overdoing it is KEY. If you have a nice set of earrings don’t pair it with an attention-grabbing necklace. Choose one or the other. And wear the bracelet too unless it doesn’t go. Plus other sparkly accessories are a must, but are more acceptable at a party like fancy clutches. So remember simple clothes with minimal but eye-catching accessories.

2010: Stuff from the Future

So looking in my ELLE Canada Magazine I will highlight some things you can expect from the New Year.

-          JOE Fresh Beauty Products—can’t get any better than that.

-          Pastel Nail Polish—don’t worry black will always be a fave.

-          Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Deodorant, get this it makes hair finer therefore easier to remove it.

-          Ew, I just read that Burger King is making a meat-scented fragrance. I swear when I heard of I thought it was a joke.

So that is just a bit of what to expect for the New Year.

For the Guys

So want some more inside advice? Man Boobs are not sexy. Aha, I know it’s so random. I mean if you have a muscular chest, that’s a score, but moobs are such a turn off. And obviously for you guys it’s quite the opposite. This isn’t another thing about me not liking obese people, it’s a fact. Girls don’t like moobs.

So that was a bit of lame advice, so I guess I will talk about something else. Okay, so I needed some help, so I just searched what guys don’t know about girls. And I got this like of 50 things. So I am going to post it, and let you know if it’s true.

1.Girls hate it when guys say perverted things.

Sometimes true, but I smile anyways.

2. Girls like to be told that they're beautiful, rather than hot, pretty, cute, or sexy. It just gives more meaning.

True. But that’s only if you’re in a “mature” relationship—if you say that, and you pull pranks with your girlfriend or something it will either be awkward, or sound ridiculous.

3. Girls love to feel special, even though they might not show it.

I think everyone likes to feel special. (Some dude probably wrote this)

4. Girls talk about EVERYTHING with their girlfriends. So that means, you're possibly 90% of their conversation. And believe me, trash talking takes up most of it, unless you're a Greek god, which you're not.

HAHA, Hey sometimes we need advice, and who else to turn to but your closet friends?

5. When girls are online, they want the guy to instant message them first, and they literally burn up inside when they're not messaged. Of course, when they are messaged, they play it all cool and go "oh, hey" as if they just discovered your message.

I think this guy had an obsessed girlfriend. Because this is not true.

6. Girls have a thing for guys who dress GQ.

GQ... Okay, so I just looked at the site, and it’s full of old men. And also, no one likes a slob. That’s all I’m saying.

7. Girls love it when guys are over 6 feet.

Tall... is a turn on, but too tall is stupid, and makes it really hard to gives kisses. x

8. Girls find it awfully attractive when guys wear just a white t-shirt and jeans and yet they happen to look awesome in it.

Ohhhhh Yeaahhhh.

9. Remember. Sense of humor. GIRLS LOVE GUYS WHO CAN MAKE THEM LAUGH.

So true, but a relationship is not all about comedy. Oh man, I read this thing on FML, and a guy used a one liner to this girl saying “Wanna know a joke?... This relationship.” I would cry if someone sent me this.

10. Girls hate guys with bad hygiene. So put on that deodorant and clip those nails!

Hygiene is key.

11. Girls love guys who know how to dance.

Did I mention I love guys who aren’t afraid to dance.

12. Girls love it when a guy pulls them close by the waist.

No? Maybe some girls do...

13. Girls go crazy when a guy smells good.

SO TRUE. I love guys who smell good. I was on the staircase at school and I was behind this 12^th grader, and he smelled so good!

14. Girls hate cocky guys.

Yes.

15. Usually, when a girl is sarcastically mean to you, it means they're attracted to you, but are afraid that they'll be showing too much.

Not true. She could actually hate you.

16. A kiss on the hand with the right timing can be a REAL TURN-ON.

Yeah maybe in Romeo and Juliet’s time. Okay, if you’re the kind of guy that would do that, then go ahead.

17. Girls have a thing for guys who sport blazers with a destroyed tee underneath.

Is it sad that that’s what I am wearing right now. Well not a “sport” blazer, but still.

18. Girls have a thing for guys who have messy sex hair.

Uhmmm...

19. Some girls can think about their crushes for 18+ hours straight. No exaggeration.

That chick is messed up.

20. When a guy says something really sentimental, girls will remember it forever.

True.

21. The smallest gestures, the smallest stares, and the smallest statements could make a girl's year. No joke.

27. When a girl is upset and wants you to listen, she wants you to listen. Don't give her advice unless she asks for it.

28. When a girl is crying, she feels a lot safer if you pull her close and tell her that everything is going to be alright.
Aha, well support would be nice. Just ask what’s up, and then listen.

29. Girls love it when guys say their name.
Well I prefer my name rather than “babe”

30. Girls don't like short tempered guys.
No one likes anyone short tempered.

31. Sometimes girls just wish that guys would notice when they get a new haircut or if they're wearing eyeliner.
New Haircut, yes, eyeliner no one cares.

32. When a girl calls you her loser or her dork, it usually means she's attracted to you.
Again, it depends, or she could actually just be saying that.

33. Girls find it a lot more romantic if you just fall asleep with them holding them with your arms rather than having a night of hot kinky sex.
...Yeah I dude definitely wrote this. And it is kinda true.

34. Girls will never say I love you unless you say it first. But that doesn't mean she doesn't want to scream it from the top of her lungs.
Ooooh, love is a touchy subject.

35. Girls love confidence.
It makes for the better person but not too much confidence.

36. Girls don't like rock-hard guys. They like to know that guys can have a sensitive side too.

45. Every girl fantasizes about her wedding. Her dress, her flowers, her shoes, her hair. More than you think.

I think he means, when other girls flirt with the one’s boyfriend. Yeah, that’s annoying. And the girl would only do that if you’re not being a good boyfriend.

47. Girls will save instant message conversations when they like a guy.
*cough* Is it sad I did this once?

48. A phone call, a text message, or a single Hershey's kiss will mean A LOT MORE than a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates on her birthday.
It depends on the girl.

True. But you letting us know, would be very nice.

50. Girls are VERY SELF-CONSCIOUS when it comes to their looks. No makeup is a very sensitive topic to them. ;P

Like I said, I wear no makeup, so it really depends on the girl.

1.       Guys hate sluts.
I figured guys had some taste.

2. "Hey, are you busy?" or "Are you doing something?" ~ two phrases guys open with to stop from stammering on the phone.
Seriously?

i think this is true for everyone.

14. Guys are good flatterers when courting but they usually stammer when they talk to a girl they really like.
i doubt this.

15. Guys hate asking parents for money to buy girls presents. So they come up with ideas like saving their lunch money for a week. But it never works because guys are always hungry so they end up asking the parents for money anyway.

this is a good thing.

18. It's good to test a guy first before you trust him. But don't let him wait too long.

that was kinda confusing, but i think this guy just watches too many movies.

i don’t get it.
