Happy Holidays

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays. It seems that I am working very hard to prep my house for guests. Cooking, Cleaning etc. I thought this was a time to relax. Anyways just wanted to say that I have received my January issue of ELLE Canada and I was this month's best! I was so excited to hear that. It's funny because every letter I have ever sent in, it has been in the magazine. So that either means that my writing is wonderful or that not a lot of people write in. So yeah I think I won some nail polish but they haven't sent me anything yet.

Anyways I hope you like the new layout. Its a work in process, but I said I was going to change the banner at least. Enjoy the rest of the holidays and I will make sure to do a year in review. Anywhoo, now the Christmas spirit has left my body. Along with the coolers LOL. Now I have to prepare for hell and go work on Boxing Day tomorrow. UGH. Why me?

YAY SCHOOL IS OVER!

Well at least for another two weeks.

Hey y'all! I haven't blogged in forever! Well now that I have some free time, I can. So what has been going on lately? Not a lot. I mean I have had a bunch of school stuff to do. I just applied for universities yesterday. I know I am kinda late, but hey, at least I got it done. Now I can focus on my portfolio for ryerson, major presentation for data, major presentation and exam for business, and ethics fair for philosophy. :) Plus I am reading a few books to keep my life sane and balanced. I've got At a Loss for Words, by Diane Schoemperlen (not even going to try saying that). It's about a woman, I think, that is a writer, and a depressed insomniac, and I think she talks about her boyfriend, or old boyfriend, the only guy she has ever loved. I will review it after I'm finished. Then I have Border Songs, by James Lynch. Apparently its a good book. So that's why I have it. Again I will review it. And me and my friends did a book exchange besides all the gifts and goodies, and I got, Plato and Platypus walk into a bar. It's a philosophical book. I am hoping it will help me when it comes to  philosophy since its my lowest mark this semester. I am so happy I got it. Because it will actually make sense to me rather than having it picked by one of my other friends who doesn't really know of and about philosophy... I guess I am trying to say it will benefit me greatly, and I am lucky I got it--the books were thrown into the middle, and everyone just grabs one that isn't theirs.
Okay, so now that I have basically told you everything that is happening in my life. Time for fashion?

I don't have my January issue yet, (which by the way I have another letter in). So I will just show you a few items that I think are super cute, and I think are really nice for this season.

The first is these wedges from forever21. Now usually I don't wear wedges, but these are a combination of that old 18th century style with modern day fashion. Plus I think they would look great paired with tights and a dress or leggings.

Next, there are these headbands. Now personally I think they are a little too dressy to go out to school with, but people have been wearing them. So I think as long as you have a minimalist look, the headband can embellish your outfit.

Okay, so next we have knit sweaters. Yes, they are ugly, but hey, they are cute when you squint. Kidding!
Personally, I like them. They will keep you warm for these Canadian winters we are having.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE jewelry. Especially the kind that you wear to make yourself look really fancy and sparkle. So this is a a bracelet I think that would be great paired with a LBD or if you're going to a club or party, a sleeveless loose top with a skirt or anything really.

It's unusual, and that usually makes for the best kind of jewelry.
So I think that's about it. I don't want to give too many of my lovely style tips away or else I won't have anything left for my blog. So I thank you for making it this far. And currently my favorite song is Sean Kingston's Letting Go. Speaking of which, I totally need to make my blog all wintery again. So I will work on that hopefully. Keep it real! A.

heyhey

I really really should be doing my homework, but I just wanted to let you know that there won't be a new banner until winter, I know--shame on me. But to me winter is when it starts snowing, and I have a feeling that will be really really soon, so I will totally make sure so post a legit post, and not some crappy apologies for people that don't even read my blog. ugh.
Love A.

oops, it's been like a month

Hey there, so sorry that I haven't posted... I guess I have been busy with other things, but I don't feel that busy. Anywho, I just thought I would update the blog since I am alive, and I really really miss posting on here. Seriously every time I go to post, it takes me two years to make, then I just forget about it. So what has been going on? School pretty much sums it up. Oh regionals for DECA came and went, and I qualified to go to provincials which is good, because I really didn't feel like doing a written event... So yeah I need to bring it in order to make it to internationals. I wouldn't mind not going to Florida, but just the thought that I made it would be enough. Speaking of money, I have spent so much of my money, and I swear I am trying to do the whole limited amount for the month, but $40 just doesn't cut it. I think it's because I have an excessive shopping habit. Except I barely have anything to show for it, so my money is going towards food... Which is just as bad because I have a house full of free food, so why buy more right? Okay, so that is all I wanted to say. I will try to get on here and post like once a week, but for some reason I just end up doing other things. Oh and I hope I am going to see Harry Potter, but I don't want to go alone, but it seems all my friends have other plans--of course, so I will have to take my sister or something. MEH. Yeah yeah, I will do a legit post for winter fashion and stuff soon, hopefully before December. I really miss writing here.
Love A.

it's october!

My life has been so busy. I am so glad I have a long weekend, cause if I had to go back to school tomorrow I would be dead. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I have barely had time for myself. Hopefully this week is less stressful. It was. And I am continuing the post like days later. I got back from my first high school party this morning. It was okay. I totally drank, but everyone thought I was getting too drunk so they took away my beer... Listen to that I sound like an alcoholic. Anyways, I think the party was alright, it was everything I expected. I wish I was in more pictures. And that I had even more fun, and that there was a DJ but you know. I totally would have been an awesome DJ for the party. They only played like two songs, Like a G6 and Dynamite. LOL. That was basically the theme of the night. I totally mixed beer and sprite, and personally it tasted good. But everyone else thought it was nasty. Clearly they have no taste... or maybe that’s me.
Anyways, I really look forward to more parties, cause it was a lot of fun. So I think I will make this an actual blog post and talk about fashion.

Fur is coming back for the fall. Personally I hate fur and faux fur, it’s like so rich old lady-like. But, what you can do is the military inspired hues, those deep army greens, and greys, and browns. Chunky jewellery and chains are really good to pair with the military look. (outfit from forever21.com)
Now you know my feelings about dressing warmly, right? Well lucky for you large cowl neck sweaters are also in style. They’ll shield you from the not-so-cold winter ahead of us.
For makeup you can never go wrong with a popping feature; red lipstick seems to be a must. But I warn you, this look isn’t for everyone—meaning if you’re in high school, this isn’t really a look for everyday use but more of evening look.

I am currently almost finished this book called Room by Emma Donoghue. It’s about a college student being abducted and put to live in this 11’ by 11’ sq. ft place. She is then impregnated by her captor and names the boy Jack. He basically grows up in this room not knowing anything of the outside but things he reads and sees on TV. The story is really sad and depressing. But what makes it interesting is the narrator is the little boy. It’s really a story about the love he has with his “Ma,” and his struggle with coming to terms with the real world. I would totally recommend it. It’s fiction, but it’s a dark book that will definitely jostle you from your regular reads.

So I think that is it from me. I will be creating a new fall/winter layout for the blog. Plus be doing a lot of studying for my two tests coming up. Anyways I will talk you guys soon, peace!

media much.

Hello, I just wanted to do a quick post to let you know I am alive, and doing well. I have two assignments due plus a test next week, so for the couple days ahead I will be busy. But I just thought I would post some things.

I have posted videos from her before, bubbiosity.

Also I am still listening to music. I think that and reading and running are keeping the stress away. But yet I still feel stressed.
Anywho, this is a club mix basically from Tiesto. He is the best. It's really long, but there are a lot of great songs featured.

So there you go. I hope to do an actual blog once I get all of this work out of the way. But I highly doubt that. LOL. Stay thirsty my friends.

PS. I will work on a new banner soon. I was going to do one soon, since I was going to start making some wicked graphics for my business thing.

yo yo yo!

Apologies for not posting last week. I live a very busy life. But in this short time I have with you a few cool things to say. So yeah life has been hectic. I have been super busy after school it's coming to me cancelling on other things cause I already am doing something. Yeah it's that bad. But I am trying to manage my time well. Balancing extra curriculars, work and the academics... it's hard. But other than that I like being busy because it fills my life with things to do. All last year I lived a pretty boring life. I had time to watch TV. That's how bad it was. Okay so other than that, I am going to get a phone. It's funny cause everyone knows except my parents, and they are going to have to sign for it. LOL. I will talk to them soon once I figure out which one I want exactly. Besides, I am still working, and the bill is going to be like $20 a month. Okay, so on the three year tab, I will  have spent $720. Which is a lot. Especially since that's like how much I have now. But I am going to be working full time in the summer so I can get the extra cash for uni. Which is another thing I am stressing about. I am trying to get the last of my volunteer hours. So I can graduate. I am really excited for uni life, it's just the applying part that's getting to me. Like I need scholarships for sure. And deadlines are approaching already. GOSH. No one warned me grade 12 was going to be so ridiculous. Like I know it's the last year and everything, but it's not even the end of September, and I am dying already. I need to make an appointment with my councillor, cause I feel like I am going to die. And lets hope that doesn't happen cause look at all the things I need to do!
Oh and I was published in ELLE Canada's October issue, so make sure you check it out. It's about socks, but oh well, you should read it. It's a really good issue, with good articles.
Plus I am going to be writing pieces for the local newspaper so I can put those towards my portfolio for Ryerson. So I am slowly making my mark in the print world.

Okay, so I will let you guys know more later, I hope everyone isn't dying from school and stuff yet. Peace. (Y)

It's homecoming right now, and people are getting totally drunk right now. Can't wait to hear about all the damage tomorrow.

PPS. That's like my planner, with out the read the bible daily note, ;)

School = UGH

Hello everyone. So school has started up again. And I am pooped already. My classes are in full swing yet, but gosh, I miss the summer break. I will let you know of some other updates later like friday since right now I have some work to finish. But yes, I will be back to regular blogging. And something to look forward to in the near future is a new layout, WOOO. So I hope everyone isn't having such a UGH time like I am. But I will talk you guys soon. Keep it real. Amelia.

LORD OF THE RINGS

Okay so I watched the trilogy within the past three days, and I can't believe how amazing that movie is. It's animations are impeccable. There is no comparison with the acting. ITS JUST SO GREAT. I cried at the end. I know--super fan right here. Well anyways, I just thought I would be nerdy and share with you, my new Gaia avatar. :)
I used to have this Queen of Hearts one, like this:
But since I loved LOTR so much, I decided to make my avatar inspired by the movie and make my self into an elf. :)
But I hope to make myself into this:
Tadaaa, that is what I want to look like, after I get the Robin Hood item, and the Bird. So, if you are someone wealthy or know someone willing to donate those items, let me know. Cause then I don't have to wait two years.
So I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I know I am. Plus I just read that I am going to have to submit news related pieces that were published to get into the Journalism program at Ryerson... UGH. This is going to be a fun grade 12.

Back 2 School

Did you know Emma Watson cut her hair?! It's really short now! I think she looks so different now, she doesn't have that same girly look to her. She is kind of impish.
Time for a fashion update for back to school.
So in high school, the pressure is almost unbearable to be cool. And if you are part of the lucky few, it either comes naturally, or you just don’t give a crap. So for the rest of us, we tend to try really, really hard to impress others. So here is my back to school guide for twenty-ten.
For the Girls
I think self expression is really important when it comes to dressing yourself. You kind of want to ask, what kind of person am I? What do I like? Do I value others’ opinions? So make sure you answer these questions before you go out shopping otherwise you will just end up with a smorgasbord of different fashions. Just shop for stuff you like. And if you have no clue what to wear for the fall—keep reading.
I mentioned this in a previous blog post, but just remember to dress for the weather. It’s okay to wear a sweater when it’s minus twenty out. It seems that plaid is still in. Personally I hate plaid since everyone wears it. But I don’t want to appear like a country bumpkin. But you know, if you like it go for it. The colours to look out for this season are red, oranges, deep greens, navy’s, greys, black of course, and camels. Nature’s wardrobe basically.
JEANS
So for we regular folk jeans are a must in every woman’s wardrobe. When you go out looking for a pair, make sure it fits right. Since there are so many choices pick some that fits right. I can’t really give you a guide—you just have to match them to your body type. But if you feel uncomfortable in skinny jeans, then go for the next best thing and get a boot cut.
Booties would look great too!
Makeup
If you are going to be wearing makeup a fresh face is necessary. Make sure to make your lashes pop for a cute flirty look.
Don’t forget to try going vintage!
For the Guys
Cardigans are really cute especially on a man... I mean a teenage boy. Oh and try putting a graphic tee under a plaid or striped dress shirt. Guys have it so easy, all you need to do to look good a put on a tee shirt, a hoodie, and you’re good to go. Oh and don’t forget hygiene. I like my guys smelling good.
So that is all I have for now. And might I mention how attractive the character Drew is on Degrassi. Here’s a picture. Enjoy. And I will blog something else some other time, and sorry I didn’t go through with that day posting thing. I got busy. ^^;;

i'm baaaad

Hello everyone. So sorry I haven't posted in weeks, but I truly was busy. I won't do a big post today, but will soon. Currently I am back on Gaia, my username is iAmelia. And I have an art shop called Jelly Papayas. I am taking commissions for Gaia gold. In the real world, I am selling my electric guitar and accessories on Kijiji for $150. If you know anyone who is looking for one, let me know. And basically I am going to use that money to get a bike, also from Kijiji. Because it sucks not being able to bike ride. So I will talk to you guys soon. You can check out the guitar and stuff here.
And you can check out the commissions on my art site here.
Also make sure to check out the sister blog, fashion bredd.
I hope everyone is enjoying the rest of the summer.
Talk to you guys soon!

Day 28 — This year, in great detail
Day 29 — Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
Day 30 — Whatever tickles your fancy
Hello out there! I am here to deliver the greatest gift of all; another blog post. So I finished watching Blood+. I love it. I think there should be a sequel, but if not, they ended it perfectly. Except it was a little dull in the end, since the whole series lead up to killing Diva, and then she dies so easily. Yeah, that was pretty dumb, but other than that, it was such a good anime! I think the next one I will watch is Hellsing. Sound good?
Okay so it’s been four days since I even tried to finish this post, but I realized that I should be doing this than wasting away on the couch watching TV.
Okay so I found that the beginning of Lady Gaga’s Alejandro sounds a lot like Ace of Base songs. But I don’t know if that’s just me or what.
When I was watching Blood+ one of the characters’ said something that seemed a little too true for an anime. It was “the Americans need war to feel united.” Is that really how we are? If we aren’t fighting against someone we are fighting with each other? Where did this violence come from? And two, isn’t kind of ironic that we need violence to feel compassion toward everyone. That’s an absolutely ridiculous statement. I think that an apocalypse-kind of event will occur if we don’t change. It’s so sad to say, we humans are so flawed.
The weather right now is so crazy, sometimes it’s uber hot, and then it rains, but the sun is still shining... it’s giving me whiplash.
Fashion
So it’s time to report on the fall trends! Red is still in for fall, it’s good to mimic those natural tones for the seasons. WARM is in. I know it’s only August, but we’re two months away from the cold, and what better way to welcome the weather but with knits. I blogged about this before but there are too many times I see girls wearing barely anything in below zero weather. It’s okay if you wear a toque, a scarf, a coat, a freaking sweater. Fashion isn’t all pain and no gain you know. The 50s are making a comeback. We’re talking the polished, sophisticated, feminine look. I still enjoy the minimalist look—it’s something that will never get old. Leather also, is in again this year. Personally I think it’s a hot look, but unless you actually have a motorcycle, you just look like a wannabe. Long skirts are also in, but I recommend you younger folk to not follow it, because you may find yourself grading papers.
This look is by  Annemiek on lookbook.nu.
Makeup

I recommend everyone to go back to school with a fresh face. I’m talking minimal makeup. I don’t wear makeup because it clogs my pores, then I just end up with more blemishes. People wear makeup to cover up those blemishes. Do you see what’s I’m getting at.  Wearing makeup doesn’t always benefit you. Oh and stay away from the smokey eye. That is something that is left for nightlife. Lipstains are a must. I think they’re really cute. I get all nostalgic when I see them though, because the remind me of markers. But I think they are a great way to achieve a flirty look without loading on the lipstick, or heavy foundations. REMEMBER Natural looks are best for everyday wear.
Alright so as you know I created another blog called fashion bredd. It will be a blog just for these sort of fashion related posts because I feel that I don’t really talk about fashion enough on here, since it is more of a general blog. But anywho, my posts on that blog won’t be as structured than they are on here so I apologize for that, as it will be more of a I post anything you stop by an read whatever, kinda looseygoosey. So I will start posting sometime in the future. And I hope you guys follow since it has zero right now. But that’s okay.
Recaps
Right now I am watching a couple shows. They are The Gates, Pretty Little Liars, Degrassi, and Make It or Break It.
The Gates is an interesting vampire drama. It’s got all of these twists and turns. Lots of secrets. The latest episode basically shows all the little monsters. There are wolves, and vampires. Plus some stranged witches. Oh yeah, so now the chief knows that one of the guys is a vampire. So we’ll see how this goes down in the next episode.
Pretty Little Liars is on tonight, so I won’t recap til tomorrow.
Degrassi has a new season! They are basically filming it like the movie, so it looks good. Fiona—Declan’s sister is in an abusive relationship. I think he is over playing it though, cause when he has his angry spells it’s exaggerated. There are a lot of new characters. I am really excited to see the little gay love story between Zane and Riley. Love them. Yeah, they are showing episodes like every day this week so I will try to recap those aswell.
MAKE IT OR BREAK IT... Lauren is such a b!tch. That’s all I have to say, and thank god her grandmother told her off in the last episode.
So I will try to keep posting on the blog on a regular basis. I hope everyone is still enjoying the slowly dying summer. I know I’m not, 0___0
Keep it real, Amelia.

making a change.

Blog blog blog blog blog. Yes, it’s time for a blog post. An actual blog post. So how is everyone? Enjoying the summer. It has been so hot lately. We need to start using the A/C but only a little, to be environmentally friendly of course. So we have a bunny living under my deck. Well since it was attacked by a crow, I think it moved, but it still comes and visits. It is the cutest dwarf rabbit ever. Plus it’s brown so that’s a bonus. It’s the closest thing to an actual pet we’ve ever had. Which is sad, but what are you going to do. So my life is pretty boring right now. To be honest, I don’t like all this free time I have. I don’t do anything so it sucks. Oh I have a job working at Aeropostale, but I haven’t really started working yet.
Did I mention I found my new love? You know the guy that gets your heart rate way up. The one that makes you lose your breath every time you think of him. I am talking about my hot Australian Xavier Samuel. (Don’t let the two first names confuse you) He is one good looking fella. As soon as you throw a guy in the tub, you know you’ve hit a gold mine. OMG. Sorry I love him. Okay no I don’t, but look at his face. DAMN. I need to find my own Australian boyfriend, like wow. Okay enough of me having a virtual heart attack, time to get down to some blogging business.
Changing the Game
Okay, so I was watching TV the other day, and CBC has this segment called Game Changers on The National. I am so glad that something like this exists because these reporters really do their job in investigating what’s new out there, and how they are promoting change. So the one I caught was about Shad and Freshii. First I will talk about Freshii because Shad will take me to a very long rant.
So when I was in Toronto for DECA I went with a friend to this new healthy place called Freshii. Now it wasn’t exactly the best experience, as we each bough a soup, which ended up being like a litre. Also they give you this pita bread (which was delicious) and I also bought a bag of baked chips, and a Fiji water. I refused to get a bag however as I was deterred either by the environmental impact or the extra 5 cents. Anyway, there go my friend and I, stumbling down the busy mall corridor dropping absolutely everything. Really it was a comedic site: change in between my two fingers, trying to hold the hot soup, with the other hand, balancing the pita bread, with the drink and the chips as well. Well anyway I ended up going back for a bag. Clearly all of this trouble was necessary to eat healthier. The experience I had at Freshii was different from a lot of other restaurants. I felt a little intimidated. There was a complicated order I had to fill out. (Which is why I went with the soup) For a first timer, it was pretty scary. But I grew to love the personal customer service. And I really like the idea of a healthy alternative for food. Unfortunately the soup wasn’t that good (my poor choice of course) but I am sure if I was to have eated something else, I would have enjoyed a lot more. Here came the question, where did this place even come from? The entrepreneur is a guy from Ontario set out to change the way people eat, to benefit themselves and their lives of course. It’s not a big place right now, but I encourage you to check it out. The food is customized for you. I hope to see one here in Kingston sometime.
Before I talk about Shad. I would like to talk about rap. According to a very strong believer of Mos Def, rap is: Rap is a music genre. It’s hated by many people that believe in the stereo type that only blacks make rap and its always about shooting cops, drugs, money and sex. Which leads to another stereo type that says all blacks like rap... 1.Not all blacks like rap. 2.Rap's not only for Blacks. 3.Not all rap is about money drugs and sex... 4.Not all people who like rap are black People who don't like rap, usually say "Rap is crap that has artists like 50 Cent." These are people who know nothing about rap, and judge it by what they see on TV. If you REALLY know what rap is then you'd know 50 Cent sucks balls and isn't a good rapper at all.See the people who like rap, and actually understand rap know 50 Cent is not a good rapper.Rap is poetry, despite what any other person says. Rap is like poetry with attitude, poetry with a bit of gangsterism. Besides all the spelling mistakes, and strong opinions, they’re kind of right. Well a lot rap these days does degrade women, does promote the “hood” life, and gangs. But one of many artists are changing this: Shad.
Rap originated in West Africa (according to Wikipedia) and it’s basically just poetry spoken over a beat. Music essentially. Then came the blues, which were influenced by the spiritual, working songs, and slavery. Well anyway when it comes to rap there are misconceptions. However Shad has brought back rap. I love Shad. I really like the old prince still lives at home. I used to have it in playlist below. His rhymes are clever and they raise awareness. He’s a classy guy. Not at all misunderstood. The guy grew up in London Ontario. You can’t get anymore close than that. So maybe I should let his lyrics speak for himself.
And I’ve been known to talk about women on a track or two, I talk to women I just can’t talk for women, that’s for you, we need women for that more women in rap, even tracks like kweli’s for women That’s still only half the view of the world, there’s no girls rapping so we only hearing half the truth, what we have to lose?” (Keep Shining, Shad)
So world, what do we have to lose? Shad is an inspiration, and should be an inspiration to all rappers. I don’t want to see women’s bodies exploited on the TV. I don’t want to hear that you were shot 9 times. I want to hear and see truth. That is what we need in the world.
FASHION

I haven’t gotten my ELLE Canada magazine yet, so I can’t tell you what’s new from there. But what I can say is minimalism is in. Along with skin toned clothing to make it look like you’re barely wearing anything. I have the perfect shirt in my head, I just have to find it. (I love to dress up) Again, earthy tones for accessories, that includes sandals. Cotton, cotton, cotton. It can be for the cold and the warm. But cute cotton shirts and dresses and skirts are a must. It’s so sad I can’t follow my own fashion advice since I’m so poor, even with a job. You get to shine with your accessories. Flower earrings and ring are super cute, especially when you are doing the minimalist thing.

For the Guys
I haven’t mentioned anything for the guys yet. That’s probably because I am completely clueless to what I should talk about. When it comes to men’s fashion. It really depends on who you are. To be honest there isn’t much choice you have when it comes to what you where. So here it is: Graphic Tees. They will get you such a long way since they go with anything. LIKE ANYTHING. So find one that reflects who you are. There is so much variety, and hey, you could even make your own. Sorry I don’t have much else for you. But yeah! Make sure it fits, so you don’t look like a douchebag.
For music, I am needing to make a new playlist, so bare with me.
So that is all for this blog post. Oh I bought this soy milk—because it’s good for you. But it tastes like straw or something. So beware when you buy it. I tried the vanilla, it barely has a taste to it. I think I will try chocolate next time. But yeah, depending on who you are it may or may not be good. Anyways, time to go do something like clean or eat.
Keeping it real. Amelia.

just a quick update.

Hello hello. This is just a quick update. As you can see the blog has changed a teeny bit, by that I mean the font colours and the banner. It's a nautical theme. I resized it a bunch of times so it looks a bit blurry on my computer. But I bet on the laptop it looks really small. Anyways, it's still a work in progress. I really want to try out those new designs from Blogger, but it will take a lot of editing. Oh, so I am going on a mini trip today, and when I come back hopefully I will be able to make an actual post (for you Katie <3) So yeah, I hope everyone is having a great summer, and I will talk to you soon.
I know this blog layout is a definate work in progress. But don't worry, you'll only have to see it until the Fall! Stay thirsty my friends. :)
Photoshopped Justin Bieber, just for you.

SCHOOOOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!

I’m DONE. Yes, that’s right; it’s a great way to start out summer by finishing your exams. So I had two today, bio and English, and let’s just say I know I didn’t fail. Uhmm, so you’re probably expecting a dramatic layout change, I know. But I haven’t done a photo shoot yet. So you have to keep waiting. I am going to the beach soon, so that would be a prime opportunity to take some pictures. So what’s new? I am getting to that date where I star training for my job, 
Thank God I have something to do this summer. Last summer I went stir-crazy because I was alone, and bored. It sucked. But yeah! Nothing much is new.
So I have been watching this show, Pretty Little Liars, and it is sooo intense. Like obviously I commend the creators for making it a damn mystery and you find out like 1 new thing in every episode. Anyways, I suggest you watch it. It’s crazy! And there was a cute British guy, so you know,
Okay so unfortunately I don’t have much to say right now. I will get back to you guys soon, after the trip. Talk to you later!

au naturel

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Okay so I just had this huge blog post, and I exited the page, and I didn’t save the draft. And I worked so hard on it. DAMN IT. Okay so I am going to try to remember all the things I talked about. This sucks. It was legitimately a good blog post. Now this one isn’t going to be good as the original. UGH. Well I have learned my lesson and I am writing this now on Word.

Okay so I am going to include fashion in this post since I feel like it and also because I am not as tired as I have been the past couple weeks. That is why I stopped posting every Friday. By the end of the week I am drained, and I just don’t feel up to it. Anyway, I am not tired most likely because I am well-fed. So for world issues class we went to this nice restaurant called the Green Tray. It was sooooo good. The place is pretty new, and it has a modern design to it. I really liked it. The food is amazing, and plus they are doing their best for the environment, with reusable bowls, and utensils, napkins made out of recycled paper, and also they have a glass wall so a lot of natural light can get in. If you’re ever in Kingston I suggest you go to this place, the food is amazing.

So speaking of the environment, this summer I suggest you wear a lot of natural items. There is no need to glob on the makeup and wear crazy heavy clothes. This summer light palettes like whites and warm colours are suggested. If you wear dark heavy clothing then you’ll just get all sweaty and it wouldn’t be fun. Accessories-wise this summer straw hats and satchels are nice. Plus wavy hair will give you that beach look perfect for the rising temperatures. This is a Fairway Crochet Top from forever21.com and its $17.80 US. You can find a lot of tops that look like this for cheap. Also go to some second hand stores. You wouldn’t believe all the nice things you can find. I still haven’t gotten to one, but with my new found first job (i know, i’m lucky) I will be able to spend my money wisely. On the environment note, I am pretty sure everyone has heard about the BP Oil Spill.

It’s unbelievable that something like this could happen. Quite frankly the feeble attempts to stop it and clean it up are getting nowhere. To prevent something like this happening we could use our technological advancements to create an alternate fuel source. Oil right now is like the world’s blood. We have such a high dependence for it. I know right now we are developing an alternate fuel source, but so many things will have to change. We would need to get cars that work with it but even with that comes problems. There should be some sort of trade-in program that allows people for maybe a small fair get a new car that will help save the environment. So basically oil causes so many problems, why do you think troops are in the Middle East? Terrorism is one thing, but also it’s for the oil. We get so much oil from the Middle East, I am surprised that they haven’t started charging ten-fold for it. The world is going to die if we continue with what we’re doing. Yeah I like to think of myself as a struggling environmentalist.

In Biology today we watched Planet Earth. It is such a good movie. Like really. They managed to document all these amazing things, like I never heard of half of these animals. Anyway I suggest you watch it. You will learn so much. Like the vampire squid is the strangest thing ever. Anything in the deep ocean is crazy. The cutest mollusc I have seen is called a nautilus (it took me forever to find it) but it moves backwards and is adorable because it bumps into things when it looks for food. I would totally love to see one of these.
So this is about all I had on my original lost blog post. Uhm, my exams are coming up so I will try to get back to you as quickly as possible. For some reason I am not as stressed right now as I should be. LOL. I don`t know if this is a good thing. Anyway I will be changing the layout soon. I really like the simplest theme for my blog, so I am sorry if it seems too boring. Love love, Amelia.
P.S. I don't know if I have ever talked about this but I really really don't like justin bieber (notice that he isn't even important enough to get capitals in his name). Yeah so here is a picture where I had fun. I will do some intense Photoshop ones soon. :)
Enjoy.
