My life has been so busy. I am so glad I have a long weekend, cause if I had to go back to school tomorrow I would be dead. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I have barely had time for myself. Hopefully this week is less stressful. It was. And I am continuing the post like days later. I got back from my first high school party this morning. It was okay. I totally drank, but everyone thought I was getting too drunk so they took away my beer... Listen to that I sound like an alcoholic. Anyways, I think the party was alright, it was everything I expected. I wish I was in more pictures. And that I had even more fun, and that there was a DJ but you know. I totally would have been an awesome DJ for the party. They only played like two songs, Like a G6 and Dynamite. LOL. That was basically the theme of the night. I totally mixed beer and sprite, and personally it tasted good. But everyone else thought it was nasty. Clearly they have no taste... or maybe that’s me.
Anyways, I really look forward to more parties, cause it was a lot of fun. So I think I will make this an actual blog post and talk about fashion.
Fur is coming back for the fall. Personally I hate fur and faux fur, it’s like so rich old lady-like. But, what you can do is the military inspired hues, those deep army greens, and greys, and browns. Chunky jewellery and chains are really good to pair with the military look. Now you know my feelings about dressing warmly, right? Well lucky for you large cowl neck sweaters are also in style. They’ll shield you from the not-so-cold winter ahead of us.
For makeup you can never go wrong with a popping feature; red lipstick seems to be a must. But I warn you, this look isn’t for everyone—meaning if you’re in high school, this isn’t really a look for everyday use but more of evening look.
I am currently almost finished this book called Room by Emma Donoghue. It’s about a college student being abducted and put to live in this 11’ by 11’ sq. ft place. She is then impregnated by her captor and names the boy Jack. He basically grows up in this room not knowing anything of the outside but things he reads and sees on TV. The story is really sad and depressing. But what makes it interesting is the narrator is the little boy. It’s really a story about the love he has with his “Ma,” and his struggle with coming to terms with the real world. I would totally recommend it. It’s fiction, but it’s a dark book that will definitely jostle you from your regular reads.
So I think that is it from me. I will be creating a new fall/winter layout for the blog. Plus be doing a lot of studying for my two tests coming up. Anyways I will talk you guys soon, peace!
