I AM ILL.

It’s blogging time! So this week was short because of family day, so thank god, I get an early Friday. I have been catching a cold or something, and it sucks. Yesterday I killed myself over track. I was already sick, but I thought I could get over it by running. That didn’t work however and I felt sick. So then the coaches must have gotten the worst impression of me, because after I was sick, I got a cramp in my sides. Ugh. So I should probably give you some background info on why? I am no wimp or anything; it’s just been three years since I even remotely pushed myself to run. So basically I am SUPER unhealthy. But thank goodness I am trying to get into shape now, rather than at actual track time. So other than that schools been okay, and friends situation is strange. I feel as if I have been drifting away from someone who I am normally close to. But I have been looking at her with contempt. This is the exact same thing that has happened before. I need to find more friends. I think I am like a child who needs new play-things in order not to get bored. I hope I don’t make this a habit. It will do me no good.

The 2010 Olympics
A majority of you are currently sitting on your couch watching the Winter Olympics (how ironic?) Unfortunately sitting may just save your life. I am usually all about going out, and keeping active...ignore the passage above. Though there have been many deaths associated with these games. I am pretty sure everyone heard of the luger who died in practice. He didn’t even get to compete the next day. It’s awful. Also there have been lots of falls in skiing, and other sports. Though I think it is great that Canada have brought home some gold medals.
IT HURTS WHEN I COUGH.
Oh so I hope you guys like the new layout/banner at the top I made it on Photoshop CS4... using a tutorial. Oh and about the quote, if you can find out who says it, it will be greatly appreciated. I don’t want to get in trouble for copyright laws or plagiarizing.
Anywhooo, I am going to continue changing up the blog, making it look a little more professional, and I hope you guys find it much more interesting than before.
So I wish everyone the best for the rest of the year. I would talk about fashion but there’s nothing much to talk about unless you want me to make fun of people... but that isn’t very nice. Oh and btw. Vitamin Water: Energy tastes awful. Though the message on it is funny.

So your video of the week is as follows. I found it funny, and cute, and so true. It is made by bubbiosity.

REDESIGNREDESIGNREDESIGN

Hello, I just wanted to come on here and say in the past few minutes I went through hell. I really want to get a new layout for the blog, so I was trying out different ones but they just didn't seem to work, so then when I went to change it back to normal I could find the "Layout" section, so I started to freak out, because I would have lost everything. And OMG. I would have died. Luckily thanks to the Help section of Blogger I figured out what I was doing and I am back to where I started. So yeah I will eventually get a new layout. I am currently working on ideas for the banner/title thing for the top where it says "It's Amelia" uhmmmm, yeah. So I just thought I'd share my frantic experience with you. Huh. Okay, well I will keep working on the blog too. I know its been a while. But trust me, I am trying. I am just running out of things to talk about. Yeah. Well kiss kiss, chow.
Oh and I know today is Valentine's Day. EWWWWWW. Right? LOL facebook status:

Energy

So I decided to make another blog post before I go off and lose at DECA Provincials. It’s not like I won’t try or anything, it’s just going to be very difficult to win. This week a new semester started and I didn’t have as much fun as I wanted. Lately I have been really tired. But I think it’s a lack of sleep and proper diet. So I definitely have to change that. Whatever happened to my friends? You know my old friends? Well luckily for facebook I can creep the ghosts. A lot of them seem happy, carrying on as if I never existed, doing drugs; things they were starting to get into before I left, making out with boyfriends; the things teenage girls do. I do not want them to miss me, or have their life be miserable since I’m not there, because they seem to be doing it themselves. I don’t miss them. Quite frankly the only way I can let them go is to get out of town. I will do that soon enough. Head to Toronto. Make more new friends. And just hope they don’t pop back into my life. I sound a bit depressed. And I am kinda, it’s from that lack of energy. I don’t really have anything else to talk about though, so talk to you next week.

Gay Is The New Black

Everyone’s wearing it. Okay that didn’t work. But it made sorta sense. So yeah. If you haven’t noticed everyone is gay, or bi. I know I can’t say that I am. But I really wish I had a gay guy friend. I think they would be super cool to chill with. And they wouldn’t be like girl-friends who bitch and complain all the time about gossip and stuff. Well I think they wouldn’t. Anyways, you have to check out the many videos in the Youtube section of this post, because a lot of them feature a gay guy. So if you’re thinking no one I know is gay, you will be wrong. Because there are actually a lot of famous people who are gay. Lady Gaga is bi I believe, Adam Lambert, Sir Elton John, Tila Tequila (I’m not a fan of hers), Clay Aiken, Lance Bass, Ricky Martin (this is most likely a rumour), Ellen, and more. So as you can see, we are growing as a society. We can accept people for their sexual preference. My two favourite designers Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors I think are gay. And they make kick-ass clothing. Applause for the awesomeness of gays. Oh and another person I didn’t mention was Michel Buckley. He does What The Buck on youtube, he is my go-to person for celeb news. He’s gay and awesome.

I know I haven’t done a blog in a while, so the plan is to make a blog that will make up for the lack of the past two is it? So let me get started by telling you how my exams went. So the first one I had was math, and I am pretty sure I did awfully on it. I studied so hard for it, but then when I went in to write it, I failed miserably. But it’s just math, and the plan is to do it in summer school, if I get below 70. But then my mum doesn’t want me to do it in summer school, she wants me to get a job. And I NEED ONE. So I think I will just have to take the mark he gives me... and do better next year. So the next exam I had which was the next day... was Peace Studies. I am pretty sure I aced this one. It was fairly easy. Okay, so then I had the weekend to study for history and accounting. History I am sure I did okay on it, I maybe didn’t ace it, but good enough. AND Accounting; DAMNNN, I am pretty sure I failed at that too. And I know the reason why... so I won’t count it as a great fail. So exams were pretty awful for the most part. I don’t know why I start to freak out, even if I have written exams for 3 yrs now. It just never gets old. So I am going to school tomorrow to figure out what I actually got on the exams... Should be fun right? No. Ohhh but you know what I am super excited for? Second semester. It should be a blast. Plus I am going to do track. Or at least try. I haven’t done anything really active in foreverrr. But I need to do something active, because I don’t want to end up obese. Okay on to the next news.

FASHION

I haven’t talked about fashion in ages. Lately I’ve been struggling with it. I think I mentioned this before but when you have no money, it’s hard to be a fashionista. But I try. So I guess I should mention that I am going to have a letter I wrote to ELLE Canada magazine featured in the April issue! How awesome is that? I know it’s just going to be a corner of the page, and I won’t win anything. But I was SUPER excited when I got that email. Actually let me share the email with you.
“Hi !
I am the production editor with ELLE Canada, and we are planning to run your letter in our April issue.
I am writing because I want to verify the spelling of your name: Amelia Chand , is that correct?”
Then it went on to ask for how they want it to be displayed. So guess what guys!? You’re going to see what I wrote in my favourite magazine of all time! So I am uber excited because my career as a fashion journalist has not died yet. So you have to read it. I would really appreciate it.

Okay, so back to actual fashion. Let me just mention what’s and what’s not.
GOLD. Yes I think I mentioned this in another blog post, but metallic is in; accessories, for the most part. And if you really want to be an attention grabber, I recommend this lovely number for a night on the town or to a partayyy. I was at Costa Blanca the other day, and a sequined jacket caught my eye. I would just like to say this look isn’t for everyone. But I thought it was super cute. The one in the picture is not the exact one I saw... I believe the one I saw was more of a bronze, but still you get the idea.
Another thing which is a must for Spring/Summer are cosmetic tones. So clothes that make you look nude. I am not too much of a big fan of this look, but that’s probably because I can’t pull it off. I definitely recommend this look for the mature individual. Because it does need some intelligence to pull off.

TAN CENTRAL. I really should follow this advice myself, but you should head out to a second-hand store and pick up a tan leather bag. Because they are a must. A lot of people already own one, so bring it out. I know I am going to look around my house to see if I have one.

Another thing that is making a come-back is the denim jacket. So you must get it. I saw one on sale at American Eagle, it was about $25. Pair it with a floral light tank underneath for a perfect summer look. The jacket in the picture is not for $25 but for $49.50. As it is a New Arrival. But you can always go to a second hand store and pick one up.

Simplicity is always in especially white. So you don’t have to break the bank with this look.

Face, Hair, Body

To really achieve a healthy, beautiful, attractive look, you need to start with the inside. I was watching Oprah the other day and there was this docudrama made called Food Inc. It is about the food we’re eating nowadays which is completely different from what our grandparents ate. One rule that you can live by which will help you pick out the right food to eat is Eat things which will eventually expire. There are so many things that we eat (which is why we’re getting fatter) which are packed with preservative, and chemicals and synthetics. You need to eat REAL food. That means fruits, vegetables, natural stuff not man-made products. I don’t want to go on about this but you can see the movie I think it’s out on DVD now... but if not, the book is for sale at most bookstores. I know I will go and buy it. So for sure, a healthy diet can help with your skin. I will post a list of books which you can check out to help with food choices.
The makeup you want to be wearing is minimal. Don’t overdo the eyeliner, the foundation, keep it light. For this I recommend a mineral makeup. Though everyone likes colour, so what you want is the violet eye. Get a violet quad eye shadow, and use that. Get the one with the charcoal so you can easily transform the light to a dark evening look.

YOUTUBE

Well lately I have been living on youtube. I have just been watching everything. And I have so many subscriptions. So this basically corresponds to the little ‘Gay is the New Black’. So while I was on youtube, I stumbled upon CarlosLikesRobots. He is the most adorable thing ever. Like I love to watch him do his little posts. He is gay, and proud. So I went and checked out what other stuff he does. He makes posts in a collab channel called OneDoseDaily. And he was also part of... I forget. But still. Then I subscribed to 5AG (5 Awesome Gays). Only because JKim and Carlos auditioned. So I was like, it must be cool. So I am just going to share some funny/interesting/omg have you heard of Julian Smith? videos with you. Yes. Have fun watching them.

Carlos dresses nicer than I do.
Watch the rest of the vids, they are funny.

He's the cute one.

OMGPOP

So as you tell by all of the stuff I am telling you to check out, I have no life. But for last week all I have been doing was playing OMGPOP. There’s a link in the right sidebar so click it, sign up for it and then add me as a friends “inspiriit” and I will be happy, because I will have actual friends on there. Meekakitty, aka Tessa made a vlog on Youtube about it, and then I went to check it out. And I love the game ‘Draw my Thing’ I think that’s what it is called. Anyways, the graphics are super cute, and if you want to meet new people/make new friends that are most likely your age, check it out. The games are wicked. Plus it’s free!

So I think I will conclude the blog post there, I hope you enjoyed all the fun stuff. Talk to you this Friday. Chow.
