The Hills are Alive With the Sound of Boredom

Ohohoh, so you are probably wondering why there isn’t a video in this and the last post. Well it’s because I am not allowed to have myself view by anyone on Youtube. But I guess I will roll with it. I understand where one of my parents is coming from, in not letting me make videos... It’s unfortunate, but I will respect that, after all I am only 16—and she still buys my clothes. So how is my life? It’s alright, pretty basic. I thought I had sorted things out with my friend, but I haven’t seen her all week. Now right now in Peace Studies, we are learning what is conflict? And what we can do to solve it. It’s really interesting, and I just realized I am such a good conflict mediator... Conflict Mediator, here I (be)come! We talked out the problems we had with each other, and personally I thought we were fine, however I didn’t hear from her at all this week. I thought we were friends...but I guess it’s not that simple. I made a wish at 11:11 today, and I want to see if it will come true. I don’t know the rules to wishing at 11:11, like can you only wish once a month? On a certain day? How many wishes do we have? Well there is something to research, and I will get back to you, if the wish comes true. Oh and there is some new music at the bottom, this week’s hot song is: Watcha Say by Jason Derulo. I don’t like what the song’s about, but it has some Imogen Heap in it, ;)

I attempted to change my layout, but I just can’t seem to allow myself. I tried to do the black background, but it looked really emo/Avril Lavigne. And everyone hates her. AHA, so I will turn to my magazines, and see if I can get one that works.

Okay, so you’re probably wondering what’s with the title? Well I wanted to write an article about musicals. They are everywhere. And it seems to be a disease everyone is catching. I don’t get the whole concept about musicals, what is with everyone breaking out in song, and singing about things they are doing? Okay, I am such a hypocrite, I do it all the time, especially when I am washing dishes, but that is just to past time! Okay, so I guess what really bugs me, is that people memorize the songs from musicals, then talk about them all the time. I have not had good experiences with musicals. The Sound Of Music, it was okay, but I fell asleep through it. The Wizard of Oz, Yeah, I am still stuck in the Black and White part. I guess I am just not a musical person. The only musicals I enjoy are the ones from ImprovEverywhere.  Check them out:

America’s Next Top Model

So I really hope you watched it! Because guess who won? NICOLE! I am glad she won, she will make a great petite model. Laura was upset when she wasn’t chosen, but the cute southern girl, just was happy she made it so far. I agree with the judges decisions, because Nicole would be able to do a variety of modelling, like high fashion, and Laura wouldn’t be able to pull it off quite as well. She is more of a CoverGirl, but I really wish she does well after the competition, and hopefully doors will be open for her. You can look at Nicole's entire portfolio here. The Vampire Diaries

Wow, this episode again, was intense. So Logan was a vampire, and I am still unclear about who turned him. But he was killed (thank God) by the vampire history teacher. And the Salvadors, I am not too sure what they are going to do yet. They want to leave, but there are things keeping them back, like Elena, and the church. So it ends, with Damon getting a call from the Sherriff, saying thank you for killing Logan, but of course he has no idea what she is talking about, because he was busy looking for something. And Elena had her world rocked by Stefan’s vamp... well you know. And then she was looking around in his room, and she finds the picture of Katharine, which looks exactly like her. She flips, and drives all distraught, and hello?! One rule of driving, is that you shouldn’t be under the influence, or really emotional. Gosh. Anyway, she hits someone, and her car flips over. Then the person she hit starts to get up all zombie-like. And walks towards her, and she screams and that is how they end it. I swear it will be so intense next week. And btw. is it just me, or does Stefan's muscles look extremely defined? Watch the episode, and you'll know what I'm talking about. The picture was found on the Vampire Diaries facebook group.

New Moon

So New Moon, is finally out, and I really, really want to go see it! I swear Taylor Lautner is the only reason I am going to go see it. I really hope they didn’t butcher it. New Moon was the best book in the series, and Eclipse was the saddest. I am so in love with the character Jacob. He is the best thing of my life. So Stephanie Meyer did something right. Hopefully I will get to go soon.

Fashion

When I was walking down town, I saw this girl who looked like a model. She was tall, or at least her heels made her look tall, and she had an Agnes Deyn vibe. She had short white hair, her skin was pale, and her fashion was unbelievable. The only thing is, she was smoking. And I don’t really support smoking. I think it’s the worst thing you can do to your body. So a must this month: Cute winter accessories, and leather! Whether it’s the boots, or the jacket, Leather is a must. I attempted looking for some vintage stuff, it was a fail. I really think if you’re going to shop vintage, you need to have to be able to visualize the piece on you. And know where to look. A lot of people on Lookbook shop at vintage places, and that is how they find a piece that one: looks amazing, and two: is unique. So I suggest everyone to go out and shop vintage, because it’s great for the environment, and you’ll look great, plus if gives you a whole new outlook. I used to think people who shopped there are gross, and poor, and dingy. I was totally wrong; People who shop there are smart. There are so many DEALS! So try it. I know I will.

You have no idea how excited and anxious I am right now. I really hope my video will upload, because I really want you to see it! But of course, just incase you can't... I will write here.But you caaaan! I left out a lot from the video, so read below!

Life

So, this will basically say everything I had said in my 20 minute video version... You just won't get to see how cute I look. ;)
So I did my retest, and I got an 80 on it, which is way more better than the 72, so thank God, I didn't do worse. I was expecting me to get higher... but an 80 will do. So the relationship I mentioned in my other blog post, well... I definitely won't be talking to her in forever. Because I wanted to see how she would react to seeing me... and she completely ignored me...kinda. It's obviously hard to ignore someone when you go to the same school, and it's a enclosed space, it's going to be really hard for the rest of the year, because I am pretty sure we are going to run into each other sometime or later... and what will happen then? Any ways she is doing a good job so far, because I only saw her like twice this week. Wow, I am watching the 20min blog I did, and I interrupted it so many times just by looking for music.
Today is Friday the 13th. And nothing has happened...yet. Well I was going to suggest something that could possibly happen-- which is bad, but I feel like if I think about bad things, they will happen... So this is a fail. I would accept my death, though I am still scared.

America's Next Top Model
So for the photo shoot, they needed to portray the Volcano Goddess Pele, and I totally predicted that Jen and Erin were going to be sent home. Though I also think that Nicole will win... I don't like her awkwardness, but she is an amazing model. And she seems to be coming out of her shell. Next week's episode is going to be intense! It will be the FINALE, and it's a runway... and it looks crazyyy.


Vampire Diaries

HOLY CRAP. This episode was so great. But yet again, it reminded me about how much I hate Stephanie Meyer. The whole episode was intense, but I really think you should watch it, because I don't feel like typing right now.


So today I went out to get my New Moon ticket, but the place wasn't open, so I was like, damn, what am I going to do now, so I went to Indigo, and bought Jane Austen's Emma. I heard it was okay, and I really think I should read more, so now I have a book, :) So I probably won't get to see New Moon till later, and I guess this is okay, because then there won't be so many stupid distracting fangirls in the audience. I hope no one spoils it for me. Well technically, they can't because I already read the book... So I guess I'm good.

Dos and Don'ts

I have decided not to make fun of the girl on the bus, because it's kinda rude, and plus, she is getting boring... I need some new people to make fun of... the girl that always wears make-up... yeah she is definitely bugging me. I swear today when I saw her, I totally had to restrain myself from telling her, that the make-up isn't helping... ahah.
Oh and there was this fugly girl on the bus. She looked exactly like her mom... Yikes. Oh speaking of which...

We Strive For Interaction

Alright, so I guess I have a bit to talk about. So school is alright. Its midterm time right now and I just realized that I am struggling a bit with math. I don’t want to be part of that stereotype; that girls are not as great as guys when it comes to math. But i have been going in to get some extra help. Really, that’s all you need, is some time to clear things up. I got a 72 or 73 on the test I just got back, and I had studied so hard for it. So now I get to do a re-test, since the whole class didn’t do so well, thank goodness. Friends-wise I have been fine. I feel like I have been struggling with one relationship though. I asked myself why am I friends with this person, but I couldn’t find an answer. This is not a good thing. I have already started to distance myself. I don’t know if this is for the best though.

Wow, it’s really cold in my basement. I was totally working out down here, but then I stopped because I realized how out of shape I was. I wish I didn’t need to try that hard to be skinny. You’re probably wondering why I want to be skinny. Well the fact is, is that I don’t like fat people. And it’s not the chubby people, its’ the obese ones who are so overweight and can barely walk, and just look so hopeless. I don’t want to turn into a person like that. Yeah I know it sounds so harsh. But everyone has a pet peeve and mine is obese people. This actually might contribute to my aspirations to be a model. I know it will never happen. But hey, this girl can dream.

So what else have I been up to? Well all I can think of is homework. AHA, I have no life. But omg, New Moon is coming! I am soooo going to see it. I am going to first see if anyone wants to come with me, then I will make my purchase because I want to see it early! So then I can do a review on here! I know I have like two readers but still I like to think the world reads this. Speaking of blogs...

I really want to redo the layout. It’s kinds boring, and not edgy... I am going to look to my fashion magazines for inspiration. I feel like I should go back to the black layout because that seemed “high-fashion.” So... what else...

I really don’t like Miley Cyrus. One, she makes mediocre music, and two, she is overrated, and three, she is part of Disney, but not Disney quality. I mean did you see her pole dance? Just google Miley Cyrus and click images, and you will be overwhelmed by trash. Who else don’t I like... Stereos. I really don’t like them or their music. I think it’s because of that stupid Summer Girl video. It may just be the feminist in me, but that blonde chick acts so dumb in the video. But I think that was the casting description; Blonde Bimbo. Oh! I really need to make my fashion section, to give you an up to date report on or fashion victim... but first here are a few reviews of my favourite shows.

America’s Next Top Model

So now it was down to five girls. And this week, the girls took their photo underwater. I think it would be so amazing to take a picture underwater, though I know I would freak out because I cannot swim. So my picture would be all frantic-looking. The best picture went to JENNIFERRR! She did very well, and looked good, I hope she is in top two. But probably won’t be. So my predictions for next episode is that Laura and Nicole will be in top two. No matter how much I like Jennifer, I don’t think she will make top two. Back to the photos, Nicole was next, she needed Barbie toe, she does way too well... and Jennifer was totally getting mad in the show because she is doing so well. Also, it was Laura’s birthday, and her grandma made her a jacket she saw in Harper’s Bazaar. I wish I had a grandma like that! She had next photo, though she was terrified of the water. But I give her props; she takes a lot of risks. So Sundai and Erin were in the bottom two, and Erin was in bottom two for three weeks now, so I thought she would go home but, OMFG. Sundai is going homeee! My 5 foot 3 rep. is going home! I really think Erin should have gone home. I hate her so much! Well I hope she bombs the next photo shoot. The Vampire Diaries

One: I LOVE BONNIE. I am so amazed at her amazing witchy power. Well you need to see the episode to understand what I will tell you next. So go here. So there is this girl Lexi, which is like 360 years old, and she is Stefan’s friend. Then Elena thinks that she is Stefan’s new love interest but he assures her, she is not. And Elena’s brother had his memory of Vicky wiped, so now all he cares about is doing well in school, and Elena was freaking out because her brother isn’t messed up anymore. Jeez, I would think this was a good thing. What a weirdo. Personally I don’t like E at all. I am so going to call her E now, (Gossip Girl reference!) Yeah so new nice girl Lexi, who has really big cheeks, and I am not talking about her butt. She gets killed! A-LERT THE MEDIA. (Another reference, watch the episode!) Yeah, she was killed by Damon, bad, boy, bad! He claims it was part of his diabolical plan. But I bet he was totally just jealous of her power. Dos and Don’ts

So the girl that I always talk about who is on my bus, yesterday or the day before she looked like a man. And I am not saying that looking like man is a bad thing, YSL embodies male fabrics on women, but this girl I swear you wouldn’t even know she had ovaries. She wore this baseball cap, and a really big sweater, and I don’t even know what kind of pants she was wearing. Now I would totally say that it was prolly her off day, but she dresses like that every day. So that was no off-day look. Hmmm, who else have I noticed looking bad... Well I don’t know. Like I am in the heart of a university, and jeez, everyone looks so good. ;) Keep it up.

I just noticed that my word count is past one thousand. I have trouble writing more than that much for school projects. AHA kidding, but wow I write a lot.

Okay so back to fashion. I really, really, really want to be a model. I could totally be a petite model. But whyyyy don’t I have those opportunities? I have model friend(s) and friends who have been approached by an agency...but it never happens to me, which is so unfortunate. But I guess you can’t always get what you want.

Well I am going to end my entry now... But here is a thought. Would you like me to do a video-blog or V-Log for my next post? I think it’d be fun! Plus I know how much you hate to read everything I say. It’s so much easier to listen.

Home is Wherever I'm With you.

Okay, so yesterday I was aching to write a blog post, but I had a major headache, and I needed sleep. So luckily, I got some time to research things to write about. I’d like to start by saying, there are a few songs in my playlist, that are named something else, than what they play. You can tell I don’t listen to the songs in advance before posting them... So I will try to fix that ASAP. Speaking of songs, the title of this post is from my new favourite song called Home, by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. You can listen to it in the playlist. It has a Western feel, but for some reason I love it. Also, I really want to change the layout of my blog. It seems kind of bland right now. I wouldn’t mind designing my own, if I knew how. So it’ll be a premade.

Oh, Happy Halloween. I almost forgot for a second. Yeah, I wish I could go to a party or something, but I think I will just get to hand out candy. Yesterday at school, we got to dress up.  I went as a pirate-kinda. Some sort of maiden. Anyways, there was another girl who had the same costume, but me being mean, I told her she shouldn’t wear it. Obviously, that tells me that I should be more original. And I plan on being original next year. I am already going to come up with ideas. So there were a lot of costumes that I am please with at school. I love how people go all out. So I am going to tell you who did the best.

Group Costumes

1.       The Jabbawockeez. Best group costume ever.

2.       The Ghost Busters, I think they go to my school. I am not even sure they were the Ghost Busters... Oh well.

3.       It’s a tie between the Wonderland pair—Alice and the Mad-Hatter, and The two Links. Congratulations guys!

Single Costumes

1.       This is tough. I didn’t really get to see everyone’s costume. But I think this is the one. The Paper Bag Princess. Thankyou for being original, and not slutty. ;)

2.       WOLVERINE. Way to go all the way. This guy had the hair, the beard, the sharp bones, the apparel and a kid behind him, playing the theme song.

3.       Where’s Waldo, and Lady Gaga. You guys were great.

Honourable mentions: Luigi, The Rubik’s Cube, The Blair Waldorfs, The Joker, The Lolitas, Frodo, The Retro Glam, The Butterfly, The White and Nerdy Gangster... Wierd Al, is that you? The Penguin, The Witches, and the Pirates.

Less than honourable mentions: The “sexy” kitties, and the ones who bought their costumes from San Diego. Really, a school isn’t the place to wear “sexy costumes.” Sorry.

America’s Next Top Model

Ahhhh, this episode was so good. So the girls got to go to Hawaii! And their new house is gorgeous. Anyways the photoshoot was so cool. It was portraying how Hawaii is so diverse, and that there are a lot of interracial marriages. So the models were the “babies” of these biracial couples. Known as “happa/hoppa” in Hawaii. So Jenifer was representing Botswana and Polynesia. They turned all of the models brown! I have always wondered what other people would look like if they were a different colour. Anyways, this is her photo. The judges didn’t really like her pose. But she sold the necklace. Laura was Mexican and Greek. Her picture looks amazing, they put so much makeup on these girls, and she did not look like the blonde country girl in the picture. I love the golden head band thing—I forget what it’s called. Oh and before I go on, the outfits were not necessarily what the people wear today, it was just to show the culture. Erin, this girl shouldn’t be in the competition. She was Tibetan and Egyptian. Man, could you imagine how beautiful that kid would be. AHAH I am so for interracial marriages.  She had no clue about those cultures... so the picture looks good to the untrained eye. So Brittany the mathematician, she goes home in this episode, which sucks, cause they just got to Hawaii. Anywho, she was portraying East Indian, and Native American, ahaaa, my future kid. Yeah she had the most beautiful outfit to work with, but she didn’t bring it. So that is why she was sent home. SUNDAIII, I love her, she is representing the 5’3” girlsss, aha. She was portraying Moroccan and Russian. They said she only has the one pose. But I think it’s just what the judges chose. She gives many different poses, it is just that they pick the one where her head is facing on the angle. Awhhh but she looks like a child. See, this is why I wouldn’t make such a great model. I look small. Nicole was Malagasy and Japanese. She does so well in her pictures. This picture was so amazing. She really knew what she was doing. The Vampire Diaries

So I saw the Halloween episode, it was alright. They killed off Vicky. Yes! She was turned into a vampire, but then she got crazy, and tried to kill Elena. Her brother is so messed up though. And she asked Damon to get him to forget that she died. Earlier in the episode Elena starts to make Damon upset. I really wished he just killed her. Oh anyways, the witch girl is so cool. She is my favourite character, and that might be because she is the only person of colour on that show. Did anyone else notice that her grandma is actually Whitney from that old show? I forget what it’s called. Yeah, it’s getting a bit boring, but I think Damon is going to do something crazy in the next episode.

I am just not going to say anything else. I was supposed to put this up yesterday, but it was Halloween, and I wanted to do something cool, so I made some homemade gore, J It was actually easier than I thought it would be. So I just took some toilet paper, and some liquid craft glue, and made some scar-ish shapes, then I took the acrylic paint, and made a blood colour. And BAM, I was a wicked zombie. The only sad part was that I didn’t get too many people, and most of them were too young to know what was on my face. Well I hope everyone had a lovely Halloween, and now we back to school. Our society is way lazy.
